"The Silence Of The Salient" after the horror of the bloody, Immortal Ypres Salient...
"The Ypres Salient" was the "Never Surrender Icon" during the great war of 1914-18.
So much blood and tears for a few miles of difference.
In times of peace it's very hard to understand why this all had to happen, but as nobody had a peaceful answer then, I'm afraid that no one would have one now.
The "Beauty" of "The Ypres Salient" is that WWI left us with a unique and warm relationship between the people of Ypres and the citizens of the whole common wealth.
Welcome to the Immortal Ypres Salient and thank you for not forgetting what we can't forget.
